The Compañía de Guías
de las Bardenas
All began at Cara Norte, a shop specialized in mountain
equipment and venture sports, as well as in travel clothes and books,
from where we organized our first programmed expeditions to the Bardenas,
the mountain Moncayo and the Route of the Dinosaurs.
We decided to establish Compañía de guías
de las Bardenas (www.turismobardenas.com) to focus our
efforts in order to develop a project, which, always considered
offering a top-quality service and respecting this natural enclave,
unifies our and your personality. Each person has got his own way
of living, of moving, of observing… That is the reason why
we do not offer established itineraries, but you are the one, who
creates your own itinerary.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
RESPECT FOR THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
Because of their high geological and natural interest, the Bardenas
Reales have been declared Nature Reserve by the
government of Navarra and World Reserve of the Biosphere
by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation
(UNESCO).
In order to protect the landscape, the ecosystem and the geomorphologic
formations of this extraordinary enclave to the maximum, Compañía
de guías de las Bardenas informs that all the accesses
to the Bardenas Reales with motorized vehicles will strictly stick
to the stipulated tracks and never leave them.
We would also like to appeal to the visitors' understanding by directing
their attention on the fact that the Bardenas Reales are vulnerable,
not only by climatic forces but also by man’s interference.
That's why we plead for a responsible behaviour in this delicate terrain.
